Our kickoff time hither and at a NM state park. Our first time here and at a NM country park. Nosotros bought a country park pass and information technology is well worth the coin if you lot plan to visit a handful of them on your journeying through the state! Pays for itself in no time! Piece of cake access into the campground, though the dump station, if busy, can atomic number 82 to bottlenecks for normal traffic catamenia, equally it's right at the entrance drive. Being early spring, this is a peaceful campground, though the recreation area was quite busy over the weekend. Camp hosts are friendly and set to aid if needed. This is actually the very first NM land park. Aye, it is dated, just they will be making improvements throughout the campground. Our gravel pull through site (#32) is level. Enjoyed the h2o and electrical hookups, though the water pressure is nearly besides strong. A sturdy shelter with picnic table on slab. Enjoyed the wetlands trail beyond from the campground and The Bluff Trail that runs .86 miles from Lea Lake to Pasture Lake. A very interesting place to explore!

Nice State Park. However early in camping flavour merely looked 2/3 full due to construction on the other loops and mean solar day use expanse. This is conspicuously noted on the website. Clean but fix for an upgrade! Bath house is open with showers. Super tranquillity! We exercise not have the NM season laissez passer and we are from out of country. Overnice State Park. Still early in camping season but looked 2/iii total due to construction on the other loops and twenty-four hours use area. This is conspicuously noted on the website. Make clean but set for an upgrade! Bath firm is open with showers. Super quiet! We do not have the NM season laissez passer and we are from out of land. We idea $xiv was fair for water and electric. Dump station directly across from camp host.

Prissy state park shut to Roswell. The lake would be refreshing during the summer. Campsite sites spacious. Gravel pads. Piece of cake to level. Bathrooms were dated but due a makeover this yr. If you are in NM for awhile, consider the land park annual camping laissez passer. Twenty one night is the pause even point. That's why our nightly rate with elect... more than

Arrival - Easy, booked online. Bulldoze in was very easy and, navigating the campground was straightforward. Tips - Arrive early and have your heated hose, temperatures are dropping into the low 20's correct now. Make certain yous have your xxx amp pigtail if you take a l amp rig. Loved this area as a quick stopover in Roswell. We were making our way through towards white sands and Carlsbad and had to do the obligatory museum bout. We showed upward mean solar day of and they gave us an unnumbered spot near the company center, but right next to one of the minor (non swim able) lakes. It was a keen spot! Level gravel lot with... more

Information technology was an OK stop for the night on the way to Carlsbad. The mosquitoes were admittedly awful. My neighbors weren't so great either. They used the headlights on two running cars for nigh 90 mins to light up their camp while they cooked their dinner and hung out. The headlights attracted even more mosquitoes. Then the neighbors ran their air mattress pump for another hour. By the time they stopped making noise it was 11:30pm. The campsites were just ok. The humidity was about 73%. Since I was camping out of the back of my truck and couldn't open the windows of my camper shell considering of the mosquitoes information technology was very hot and muggy. I was glad to get up at 5am and leave.

Stayed hither one night, it was okay, it was actually evil-smelling by the lake (not sure if it was the bathrooms or the lake itself…) and there were flies everywhere. Every fourth dimension nosotros opened our van ten flies would fly in. We didn't love it simply it worked for one night.

Abysmal Lakes Land Park is all-time known for the sinkhole lakes in the park that range anywhere from 17-90 feet deep. There are no marked trails that we could meet to lead you to the top of the ridge, merely if you follow the well-worn path to the top, you volition get an incredible view of these beautiful "bottomless" lakes! We used this park as our home base for exploring Roswell also. The park has a very large day use surface area on the largest lake in the park. Squeamish to see the beautiful water in an otherwise dry and barren mural. Our site (31) was the just i that was slightly flooded from a recent heavy rainstorm. Overall we enjoyed our stay, simply would make it a bit shorter next time. If yous'd similar to meet our stay, you tin can check it out here: https://youtu.exist/LbMuMyRXX6s
